Defence School Transition Aide (DSTA) Program
The DSTA Program is funded by the Department of Defence, through the Defence Community Organisation (DCO), to facilitate the best possible educational outcomes for dependants of ADF members and to provide support during absences for service reasons.
Some activities performed by the DSTA include being a point of contact for parents of new ADF children into the school, coordinating appropriate welcome and farewell activities, introducing ADF parents and families to the school and its facilities, supporting individual children during parental absences. providing opportunities for ADF families to meet other ADF families and enhancing the relationship between the school and their Defence community
